SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR EMPLOYMENT OF STUDENTS (SPES) APPLICATION

Implemented by PESO, SPES is a youth employment-bridging program of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) that aims to provide temporary jobs to poor but deserving students, out-of-school youth, and dependents of displaced or to be displaced workers every summer and/or Christmas vacation at any time of the year to ensure that the family's income is increased to help the beneficiary continue his education.

Bring the listed documents and secure them from the indicated office or source.

CHECKLIST OF REQUIREMENTS WHERE TO SECURE
1. SPES Form 2 (1 original copy)  PESO
2. Any of the following, whichever is applicable:  
a. Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents/legal guardian (1 photocopy) Employer of parent/s
b. Certification issued by BIR that the Parents/guardians are exempted from payment of tax (1 photocopy) Sangguniang Barangay
c. Certificate of Indigence (1 original copy) Sangguniang Barangay
d. Certificate of Low Income issued by the Barangay (1 original copy) or DSWD/CSWD where the applicant resides (1 original copy) Sangguniang Barangay

3. For students, any of the following, In addition to requirements no. 1 and 2:  
a. Proof of average passing grade such as (1) class card or (2) Form 138 of the previous semester or year immediately preceding the application; OR School enrolled
b. Original copy of Certification by the School Registrar as to passing grade immediately preceding semester/year if grades are not yet available School enrolled
4. PSA Birth Certificate (1 photocopy)  Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
5. For OSY, Out-of-School Youth Certification (1 original copy) Sangguniang Barangay/ CSWD
6. Passport size ID picture (2 original copies) Applicant
