Mandate and work
The PESO links jobseekers with employers and employment opportunities, serving as the city’s frontline labor and employment facilitation office. It hosts recruitment fairs, job postings, and referrals while coordinating with national and local agencies. The office also administers special employment programs such as the Government Internship Program (GIP), Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), OWWA assistance, and TUPAD.
Through skills development, trainings, and partnerships, PESO enhances employability and career readiness among Tayabasin workers. It supports businesses in finding talent while guiding jobseekers toward sustainable opportunities. The office promotes inclusive access to decent and productive work, contributing to both livelihood security and the city’s economic competitiveness.
