Mandate and work
The City Veterinarian provides veterinary and public health services for livestock and companion animals. It administers anti‑rabies vaccination, animal registration, and home‑service treatments and investigates bite incidents. The office manages impounding operations and facilitates adoption, releases, and responsible ownership.
By promoting disease prevention and welfare, it protects both animals and people. It issues certificates for animal transfers and brand registrations. The office supports livestock productivity and safer communities.
