Mandate and work
The Bids and Awards Committee oversees procurement to ensure transparency, competition, and value for money. It prepares bidding documents, evaluates submissions, and recommends awards to the Head of the Procuring Entity. The committee documents proceedings with observers and coordinates closely with end‑user units.
By enforcing procurement rules, it protects public funds and reduces risks of delay and protest. Clear procedures and fair evaluation strengthen supplier confidence and market participation. The BAC underpins credible public spending and project delivery.
