Office of the City Library

The City Library was formally opened to the public on January 17, 1951, with an initial collection of 500 books and 56 magazines. Today, it has grown into a learning hub with a total of 13,257 volumes, which include collections from the National Library of the Philippines, LGU-purchased books, circulation books, children's books, special collections, and non-printed materials.

The library offers free access to books and research materials (reference service) that support literacy, education, and lifelong learning. Beyond its rich collection, it also provides computer and Wi-Fi access, e-government services, a Gender and Development (GAD) Corner, a PWD Corner, Periodical section and outreach activities to bring library services closer to the community.

The City Library continues to grow and strengthen its role in preserving heritage, bridging information gaps, and empowering every citizen through accessible learning opportunities.
