Mandate and work
The Office of the City Agriculturist advances sustainable agriculture and fisheries to secure local food supply and rural incomes. It provides technical assistance, farmer registration and certifications, and facilitates crop and animal insurance. Programs include dispersal of seeds, livestock, and fingerlings, plus extension services that improve practices and yields.
It delivers trainings and livelihood support that raise productivity and resilience among farmers and fisherfolk. The office works to keep food affordable and accessible to Tayabasin families. Its initiatives reduce poverty and drive inclusive countryside development.
